Caius Explore 2025 is now live! Now in its fifth year, Caius Explore is an initiative aimed at helping young people explore and cultivate their academic interests.

Twenty-eight different tasks have been set this year, across the vast majority of subjects offered at Cambridge. Each task has been written by a Cambridge academic and provides guidance on how to approach it, often including resources for further reading and exploration.

The tasks are open and free to anyone to download and attempt. Students currently in year 12 (or equivalent) at a UK state school or college are invited to send in their responses to Caius by July 30; we will then pick our favourite entries and invite their authors to come to Caius in September for a celebration lunch. This will include the opportunity to meet Directors of Studies and have a tour of the College.

Last year around 500 young people submitted responses to our tasks, and we invited around 150 entrants for our celebration event. Of those invited who subsequently applied to Caius, nearly half received Cambridge offers in January.

Hear from some of last year鈥檚 participants in the video below and find out more on the Caius Explore webpage.
