Research interests

My main research area is Quantum Field Theory (QFT) which is the universal theoretical framework underlying Particle Physics, as well as large parts of Cosmology and Solid-State Physics. I am particularly interested in special examples where exact analytic calculations are possible in QFT allowing us to go beyond the domain of the usual perturbative series whose terms correspond to Feynman diagrams.

Teaching Interests

I typically lecture one of the theoretical physics courses in Part III Mathematics (currently String Theory) in addition to a course from the earlier parts of the Tripos (currently Part II Electrodynamics). I also supervise PhD students.
