Since September 2024, I am enrolled in the Master鈥檚 Program in Arts and Cultural Management at Leuphana University L眉neburg, Germany.
Research interests
In addition to my research interests in German as a foreign language, I am interested in the field of Cultural Memory studies. In this context, I particularly focus on identifying and analysing transnational and regional Sites of memory (Lieux de M茅moire) of historically marginalised groups. Currently, I am looking into the Euphrates River and its tributaries which have been used to facilitate the Armenian genocide in 1915 and how this has changed the representation of the Euphrates in the cultural memory of this group.
Teaching Interests
In the scope of my DAAD lectureship I teach "Use of German", "Translation into German" and "German through Audio Visual Media" at the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics.
Furthermore, I am also responsible for the college supervision for students of all years.
Through my teaching, I am keen to convey a more contemporary, multifaceted, and diverse image of Germany.
Other interests
I am a passionate Arabic learner and interested in all things MENA, particularly Egypt. I strongly believe in equity in education and try to do my share to help close the gap.
