Research interests
Joe is a PhD candidate in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge. His research looks at the crisis of legitimacy in consolidated democracies and how realist political theory can bridge the gap between conceptualisations of legitimacy and the empirical record of the survey work. His research interests include the history of political thought since c. 1650, comparative politics, political psychology, and the politics of popular media.
