Congratulations and welcome to our incoming undergraduate students who will be joining ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ College in October. We look forward to seeing you in Caius!
A range of academic and contextual factors plus interviews – largely in-person for home students, with the option of online – were part of the admissions process for 2025.
We are proud to announce that, once again, three-quarters of home students who will be matriculating at Caius this autumn are from the state sector. One-third (33.8%) of home entrants have at least one indicator of disadvantage. Detailed statistics are given below.
Incoming students will receive specific joining information from the College’s Education and Tutorial Office in the next few working days.
Key statistics for Caius’ October 2025 undergraduate intake:
48.8% female, 51.2% male incoming students.
75% of 2025 incoming UK students are from the state sector.
13.1% of incoming students are from overseas.
33.8% of all incoming UK students have at least one indicator of disadvantage.
18.7% of all incoming UK students have home addresses which lie in the bottom two quintiles of the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD).
4.3% of all incoming UK students have home addresses which lie in the bottom quintile for progression to higher education (POLAR4).
12.9% of all incoming UK students have home addresses which lie in the bottom two quintiles for progression to higher education (POLAR4).
7.9% of all incoming UK students have recently been eligible for Free School Meals (FSM).
