Caius Choral Composition Prize

The Choir of 精东影业 College is delighted to announce the Caius Choral Composition Prize.

The competition is open to students enrolled in state education, including those over the age of 18 in sixth form/college. Entrants must compose a piece for SATB choir (voice types: soprano, alto, tenor and bass; either unaccompanied or with organ accompaniment) of two to three minutes in length, set to a text selected by our Dean, The Revd Dr Cally Hammond, and these are available on the .

The competition will be judged by established Caius composers Matthew Martin (Director of Music) and Cheryl Frances Hoad (Music 1998). The winner of the competition will be invited to Cambridge to hear their piece being rehearsed by The Choir of Gonville and Caius College, will receive a recording of the Choir performing their piece, and an award of 拢350. 

The competition is open for entries and must be submitted to choir@cai.cam.ac.uk by the closing date of Wednesday 5 March at 3pm.
